

Terms & Conditions
Below are the conditions of hiring The Basement Bar for a private event at Farr's Dalston.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once the full hire fee has been paid and a confirmation email has been issued by Farr’s Dalston.
Tentative or provisional bookings will not be held without payment.
2. Hire Fee & Payment
Full payment of the hire fee is required to confirm the booking.
The hire fee is non-refundable.
3. Add-ons and Additional Services
All add-ons (e.g., catering, entertainment, technical equipment, decorations) must be requested and confirmed no later than 7 days prior to the event date.
Add-ons are subject to availability and are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Last-minute requests may not be accommodated and may incur additional charges.
4. Duration of Hire
The hire includes access to the basement space for the agreed-upon time period only. Additional time before or after the event may be charged.
Early access or setup time must be arranged and approved in advance.
5. Guest Conduct and Responsibilities
The hirer is responsible for the behaviour and conduct of all guests during the event.
Any damage caused to the property, furniture, or fixtures during the hire period will be charged to the hirer.
We reserve the right to end the event early, without refund, if guests engage in behaviour that is deemed abusive, dangerous, or disruptive.
6. Capacity Limits
The maximum number of guests allowed in the basement space must not exceed the capacity stated at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or stop the event if capacity is breached.
7. Noise and Licensing
The hirer must comply with any noise restrictions in place, particularly during late hours.
The hirer is responsible for ensuring any required licenses (e.g., for music or alcohol, if applicable) are obtained where needed, unless otherwise provided by us.
8. Liability
We accept no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises by the hirer or their guests.
We recommend hirers take out event insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
9. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, power outage, pandemic restrictions, or staff unavailability.
10. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking confirmation will apply.
